Air Dry Screen Printing Inks can be used on some fabrics, but not all fabrics.
Air Dry Screen Printing Inks are usually suitable for natural fiber fabrics such as cotton and linen, because these materials have good adsorption of inks and can ensure the ink is firmly attached. However, for synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon, the adhesion of air-dry inks may not be good and it is easy to fall off.
Natural fiber fabrics: Such as cotton and linen, these materials have good adsorption of air-dry inks and can ensure the ink is firmly attached.
Synthetic fiber fabrics: Such as polyester and nylon, the adhesion of air-dry inks on these materials may not be good and it is easy to fall off.
Choosing the right mesh: The mesh count (number of holes) of the mesh has an important influence on the covering effect of the ink. Generally speaking, the mesh count of the mesh should not be higher than 100T (250 mesh) to ensure good covering effect of the ink.
Exposure tips: Using a vacuum exposure machine and an aluminum alloy high-tension screen can reduce the burr phenomenon on the edge of the font. If you use sulfuric acid paper for exposure, you need to pay attention to the screen not being stretched well or not being pressed well during exposure, which may cause burrs.
Ink selection: Choose ink suitable for the type of fabric. For example, water-based ink is widely used in food packaging, artificial leather, luggage and other fields because of its non-toxic, odorless and environmentally friendly characteristics.
